PATIENT NOTICES

THURSDAY 21ST SEPTEMBER 2017: On this day many of our CLINICAL staff will be attending an important training event arranged by the Clinical Commissioning Group. There will be a reduced number of appointments available on the day. The practice will open as usual at 8am the following day. If you require urgent medical assistance or are ringing for advice about an illness, please dial 111. Calls to the NHS 111 service are free from both landlines and mobiles. We are sorry for any inconvenience caused.

FLU SEASON IS ALMOST HERE......we are now booking appointments for patients who are eligible for the free NHS flu vaccination. Please contact the surgery to check if you are eligible and make an appointment with the Practice Nursing team.

Our healthcare team is expanding....

Physiotherapy Assessment Specialists:

This team is highly trained to an expert level in the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of musculoskeletal/orthopaedic problems. They are able to offer a rapid assessment service for both new and long standing muscular, joint and back pain; for example, low back pain, shoulder pain, knee pain and ankle pain.

They are able to advise on appropriate rehabilitation/exercise programmes, refer for physiotherapy treatment, x-rays and scans. From 6th April we are lucky to be able to provide in conjunction with our local GP federation and Frimley Park Hospital, 1 clinic a week on a Thursday afternoon here at North Camp Surgery. Access to the clinic will be directly via our reception staff and it will not be necessary to see a GP first.

Pharmacist

Our pharmacist Sanjeet has been working here for several months. He can do medication reviews and also assists with medication queries. He runs a clinic on a Thursday afternoon and we make ask you to book an appointment with him if it is appropriate.

Paramedics

We now have paramedics employed by the federation of Farnborough GPs who are helping us with home visits. They maybe able to come out sooner than a GP and spend more time doing an assessment before discussing management with your GP.

Get Well, Keep Well

Of course we’re not just here for when you are unwell. Our team of healthcare professionals and back-up staff offer a number of clinics and services to promote good health and wellbeing whatever your medical condition.

Online Services

Save time – do it online!

GP online services gives patients the option to book appointments, request repeat prescriptions and view their GP records, using their computer, tablet or smartphone rather than having to phone or visit their practice.

Online services complement the existing ways patients can access appointments, prescriptions and their records. Our practices already have the facility to offer online access to records and transactional services for our patients.

If you are not already registered for GP online services please let a member of the practice team know you would like to use this service.

You will need to initially complete the online registration at the surgery before you will have access to making online appointments, ordering repeat prescriptions, access to your medical records.  Whatever your thoughts, be sure to let us know via our feedback function. Comments and suggestions are always a great way of helping us continue to enhance the way we look after you.

Patient Access

Our Surgery is accessible by wheelchair and we have a disabled patients’ toilet. If access proves difficult to any of our disabled patients, we would be happy to consider any suggestions for improvement.

Patient Participation Group
